A reported surge in caravan bookings
Posted on May 21st 2009
It hasn’t been a good six months for touring caravan sales but they are finally on the rise again with manufacturers in the Hull area and in Bristol increasing production to meet demand.
Rental bookings across the country have been showing good signs since early spring and some parks achieved occupancy levels of nearly 100 per cent over Easter. In parks in the North of England, increases of 25 per cent and more are being reported - both for touring pitches and for holiday home rentals. Recent studies show that new people are being attracted to caravanning and that those who already own caravans are using them more. Sales of pre-owned caravans are booming so much so that dealers are reporting a shortage in some price brackets. This bodes well for the creation of new jobs in manufacturing and in parks. News brought to you by Insure My Caravan offering public liability starting from £2million.
