Caravan Channel cosies up to YouTube
Posted on August 24th 2010
Caravan insurance customers will now have another way of catching up on programmes from the Caravan Channel, the only constantly running caravan TV channel in Europe.
The Caravan Channel has announced that it is becoming a YouTube partner. Although many short clips from the channel are available on YouTube already, the elevated status will allow longer clips, even full programmes, to be seen on the video sharing website.
Programme producer Chris Gosling said, "This really is one of those business accolades that you simply can't buy or claim - YouTube operate their own standards of judgement for video partnerships and they come to you to make you a partner when your results justify it."
"Our programmes are now seen around the world in all formats', Gosling added, "and the nearly half-a-million views we've had to date on YouTube has added considerably to our reputation for independent and professional journalism, rather than the kind of inflated hype often seen online."
This will give the opportunity for caravan insurance clients to catch up on programmes at will.
