Caravan chairty whistlestop tour
Posted on August 25th 2009
Don Taylor aged seventy nine years old has been on an epic voyage to visit all 125 Caravan Club sites in England in a bid to raise £1million for The Christie Hospital, Manchester.
Taylor's journey has not been a smooth ride all the way and his touring caravan insurance has certainly been put to good use. He has suffered two breakdowns to his touring caravan, British torrential rain, time-consuming motorway tailbacks and life-threatening heart failure, all of which could have potentially caused the failure of his charity fund-raising record.
The pensioner from Timperley recently lost his wife Aileen to cancer and has since been on a mission to raise funds for the hospital who treated her.
Taylor only has 9 more sites left before he completes his mission and is hoping that the last few stops on the whistle stop tour will not hold him up to much longer!
Insure My Caravan provide touring caravan insurance for caravan owners who have spent the British summer holidaying in both the UK and Europe making sure that all vacations run as smooth as is humanly possible.
