Caravan park reaches tourism award finals
Posted on October 30th 2009
A caravan and camping park in Otterton, who has already received many awards over previous years, has reached the finals, along with five other caravan parks, in an attempt to win the South West Tourism Excellence Awards.
The Excellence Awards are known by camping and caravanning parks as the Oscars of the tourism industry, and these in particular are there to distinguish holiday parks in the south west of the country with recognition for their high standards of accommodation and services to their customers.
Ladram Bay Holiday Park is a family run business and started off as a small farm some seventy years ago, since then it has grown from a small camping site to an admired holiday park. Since the beginning of 2009 they have received a record number of customers due to the economic crisis. They have won many awards over the years, including the Green Tourism Business Scheme, a tourist board rose award and a special conservation award from David Bellamy, to name a few.
The Holiday Park, which was up against hundreds of holiday parks in the South West, is renowned for its outstanding quality. If you visit yourself you will have the opportunity to stay in one of their luxury caravans, or bring your own touring caravan or tent. You will be provided with the usual facilities, including a swimming pool, children's activity areas and an entertainment centre, as well as the parks own private beach.
