Caravan holidays 'more popular' this year
Posted on October 23rd 2008
Holidaying in the UK is becoming more popular throughout the country and even Europe as the economic crisis rolls on, it has been found.
While budget airlines close down amid the economic gloom and the exchange rate puts Brits off the idea of leaving the country, increasing numbers are hitting the road to enjoy the beautiful sights of the UK on their holidays.
A report in the Sun newspaper highlighted the rise in popularity of such holidays.
Speaking to the newspaper, Alvin Wiggins, of the Motorhome Group in Nottinghamshire, explained: "My customer enquiries have doubled and my business is booming this summer. I've also had a surge in holidaymakers from the continent."
It looks as though caravan owners will now have competition for the best spots in their favourite caravan parks.
One thing that will remain constant, however, is the need for comprehensive caravan insurance.
