Caravan park raises money for town hall

The local community of Scarisbrick in west Lancashire was brought together recently by the Shaw Hall caravan park in a move to raise money for one of Britain's largest parishes, according to the Ormskirk Advertiser.
Said to be one of the biggest village events of the year, all walks of people from the caravan park came forward to join in the fete, with Morris dancing, plate smashing, donkey rides and even a hog roast.
Owner of the caravan park Sally Monaghan spoke to the Ormskirk Advertiser, saying: "Scarisbrick is a big parish but we don't do much as a community because it's so spread out and people don't get to hear about what's going on or even know the village hall is here.
"We are always looking for more people to get involved, especially young people," she added.
