Caravan park raises mugs for charity

A caravan park near St Andrews has raised thousands for charity by organising a coffee morning for visitors, according to Fife Today.
One of Cairnsmill Caravan Park's regular visitors, Eleanor Lang, has organised a refreshments tent and raffle every year to raise money for cancer charity Macmillan.
This year's events, which took place last Saturday (September 22nd), included a morning of refreshments, stalls and a raffle, with one of the prizes being an LCD screen donated by the caravan park's site owner, John Kirkcaldy.
Visitors are asked to donate a small entrance fee for the privilege of taking part and helping charity. The caravan park coffee morning raised £2,250 this year, beating the amount from the previous year.
Ms Lang started the event five years ago after one of her friends died of cancer. This will be her last year as event organiser, but her daughters Lindsay and Jane are to take over next year.
