Caravan show subject to break ins
Posted on September 18th 2008
Caravans parked at a pub in Skegness ahead of a caravan display have been broken into and had their contents stolen, it has been reported.
Curtains and cushions were stolen from the caravans, suggesting the thieves were already knowledgeable about such vehicles, as together they are worth around £2,500, according to the report.
The caravans were to form a display show to be held on the grounds of the Welcome Inn Pub in Skegness.
While such smash-and-grabs are thankfully not too common, caravan owners are reminded to take care to hide their possessions from view.
Sometimes, however, damage to a caravan cannot be stopped or a crash may take place, and so owners are advised to purchase caravan insurance.
