Caravanning is on the rise
Posted on November 16th 2009
Next year is set to be one of the busiest caravanning periods of this century as around 75% of us are expected to stay in the UK for our holidays. VisitEngland have released figure showing the increased number of Brits they expect to stay ashore during the 2010 period as everyone looks to cut spending during the recession.
Although the weather in the UK is not like the Mediterranean, recent figures gathered by Brief Your Market have revealed that around 45% of carvanners go on holiday for the freedom and relaxation and another 28% go for the scenery. This shows that the British holiday is not always about getting a great tan, for most of us it's about relaxing and getting away from our jobs for a week or two.
Recent figures have already shown the increase in the number of bookings caravan sites have had for next season and this is only set to increase. Caravan dealers have reported a massive boost in sales, which shows that for many of us the 'staycations' is not temporary, they could continue for many years to come even after we have closed the door on the recession.
Insure My Caravan offers a great range of caravan insurance products each one with added benefits.
