Caravanning receives boost in recession
Posted on October 23rd 2009
The recession has not been doom and gloom for every business in the UK, caravan firms have seen a massive increase in sales. The reason for the success is due to reduced numbers of the UK public choosing to go abroad for their holidays, they are instead staying ashore and using a more traditional methods.
Caravanning is a peaceful, cheap and easy way to spend a week away. Owning a caravan provides a cheap vacation and is an investment that will continue to deliver throughout the years. The average holiday abroad for a family can cost between £500 and £2000, including travel, accommodation and food this equates to £20,000 in ten years. On the other hand if we put together the price of purchasing a caravan, £10,000 and the cost of the average week away being £500, over 10 years this is £15,000. Not only is this an average of £5,000's in savings but also the caravan will continue to provide you with cheaper weekends away as well as lasting in excess of 10 years.
