Caravanning 'not just a UK activity'
Posted on August 27th 2008
Caravanning is a famous past time, and everybody knows somebody with a caravan.
However for most people, an inaccurate view of caravanning prevails, with many choosing to believe a caravan holiday will always take place in the UK.
But that is not the case, says one owner, who has just returned from a beautiful holiday in Italy, along with his motorhome.
"It's a fantastic way to do it," Jonathan Bell told the North East Journal.
Mr Bell also brought his wife and two children on the holiday, proving that long journeys needn't be at the expense of long-suffering parents.
"Having all the amenities onboard makes the journey so much more enjoyable. Also you dont have to arrive at a certain time, so you can meander and do as you please," he added.
But one of the key draws to such a holiday will be the cost, which - as a caravan salesman - Mr Bell knows much about.
Comparing monthly repayments to the annual cost of a family holiday, Mr Bell makes a good case for buying a caravan and riding away immediately to any country your heart desires.
