Small is beautiful

The winners of the best of the small caravan sites received their
accreditation as 'certificated locations' (CL) at the certified location
of the year (CLOY) 2007 presentations on April 1st.
Under the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act (1960) sites for
five caravans or less can be certified for use. The awards were
presented by Margaret Hodge at a parliamentary reception.
"Winning the prize is a great compliment and has made us reflect on what
our visitors find special about Birch Hill," Janet Kelly, first prize
winner for their certified location in the quiet farming community of
Ellesmere, Shropshire, told the Caravan Club. "Our winning formula is a
great location with a warm welcome, and we take pleasure in sharing what
we have with others."
Keith and Alison Rogers, of the Keal Lodge CL, Lincolnshire were awarded
second prize, with John and Iris Lamb, from Leadketty CL, Perth &
Kinross achieving third place.
