The Staycation in the UK

With the current credit crunch and fall in the value of the pound, more people will be turning to British holidays in the fourth coming summer of 2009.
The Caravan Club has published findings to show that caravanning is booming. 2008 was a record year for UK site bookings within the Caravan Club chain. The booking for 2009 has increased by 40 compared to the previous year.
Over 55,000 households joined the club in 2008 and it seems that within 5 days over December 2008 a massive 50,623 bookings were made for this summer holidays.
The UK still wants to go on holiday, but money is tight so a UK caravanning holiday is the answer to their money problems. The Staycation has begun, 2009 is the year of the British holiday!
